Premiere Pro Editing Workshop 1 | I Think
This week we had the opportunity to have an extensive play around with Premiere Pro within 2 separate projects, the first of which was known as 'I Think'; we were simply given a folder with a load of video/audio clips in and were told to edit them together into something that made sense. Here were the results:
I feel that this exercise went smoother than the following one with the Ugandan coffee ad, perhaps because there was less to work with so it felt there was more of an obvious flow to it, although at the same time I did find myself scrambling for footage towards the end. I found myself putting in the voiceover first, then editing to that, although Ferg warned the class that this could make it too literal; therefore not giving the audience enough credit to figure out these things themselves, which is a fair enough statement. I feel that it's a fine balance between being literal and making the content relevant to the background audio.
