Documentary Unit | Wrapping Production & Reshoots

After our group had a meeting with visiting unit lecturer Zoe as well as the unit leader, Helen. We were informed of some potential improvements and additions that we could add to our existing rough cut, for this reason we decided to focus our efforts today in order to ensure our documentary was every bit as good as we wanted it to be when conceptualising it.

We spent time back at Bluewater in order to get some additional b-roll footage of John Lewis where we had previously held an interview. We then headed directly onto Strood where we filmed additional dialogue and b-roll outside of the pole fitness area, this was to ensure there was enough footage that looked presentable and fitted in with the aesthetic that we're going for.

Finally we all went back to George's house in order to further record more commentary as well as review, exchange and display the footage we already had to Andrew, our presenter. Today was long and arduous, but we're well on our way to what seems to be a cracking documentary.

I'd like to give a huge thankyou to our presenter Andrew Phipps, who despite a complex and often shifting shooting schedule, persevered and continued to bring a positive and fun atmosphere to the set day after day. I feel like we've really made a friend of the industry here, and we'll be sure to consider Andrew for future projects should he be appropriate for the roles.
