I'd long since heard of the benefits of open-back headphones and their superior sound-stage, however never felt confident enough to make the jump. Now however I am in a position where I believe these would be an interesting and useful upgrade, especially coupled with the Scarlett Solo audio mixer, enabling me to connect them via the 1/4inch jack, ensuring I get pure, lossless audio through .wav and .flac files. Coming from a pair of HyperX Cloud II's, comfort was a big priority for me, and the HD 598's have a reputation for being one of the most lightweight, comfortable pair of headphones on the market!
