This was the main purchase of this week's upgrades. Given that people had been impressed with my narration on the first trailer project in the storytelling unit, as well as multiple people telling me I may have a future within the voice work industry - I felt it necessary to upgrade to a professional, industry standard XLR microphone. After much deliberation I settled on the Røde NT1 Condenser microphone due to the positive feedback I'd heard on it from various sources. As of right now I am happy with my purchase and look forward to making magic with it in the near future.
