Directions Unit | DSLR Workshop 1
So today's workshop was all about DSLR cameras, how they work and what their advantages/disadvantages they have over the Sony EX broadcasting cameras that we've been encouraged to use up until this point. I found this workshop interesting as, given my recent interest in DSLR cameras, it gave me some insight into what makes them great, and what makes them not so great - informing my potential future purchase.
Sam Creamer, ex student on the course and experienced DP came in to help guide us a bit when it came to the lens' and technical stuff in general. I found this incredibly insightful as it provided a perspective of someone who has previously been in our shoes, doing similar projects, yet also possessed the experience of someone who knows the industry and the equipment behind it.
Safe to say I will be definitely looking into purchasing a DSLR of my own within the coming months.
