As Live Production Pitch - Idea Process - Conception
Beginning Our Production Pitch
Before the Christmas break I spoke with Alex (Baldwin) and agreed to work with him for the as live production pitch, hoping to achieve the producer role during this unit. We discussed a couple of ideas - one consisted of a chinese whispers based game show where the audience would participate in some form or another. I wanted to take inspiration from other takes on the game in modern television, for example, Celebrity Juice's "Shouting One Out" segment, where guests take on challenges in which they have to pass on phrases to one another while having their hearing distorted through sound played through headphones. We quickly discovered however that the viability for the show and the depth could be lacking in some way, therefore scrapped it in favour of Alex's suggestion - 'First World Problems'.

The show would focus around addressing first world problems in a satirical, topical panel show format. We want to have a lead presenter, accompanied by 2 supporting presenters similar to Top Gear during the Clarkson Era. After meeting with Helen and talking over potential avenues for evolution and exposition into our idea, we're planning to begin working on the pitch presentation tomorrow, therefore fleshing out our ideas further.
