Developing Our Poster Designs

As part of the promo material required for the unit, we were tasked with coming up with several poster design concepts for the show. I worked on one initially and presented it to the group chat, the poster received positive feedback and some tweaks were made after hearing feedback from the producers.

The process for my own poster design involved a technique called 'double exposure', this allows you to take one image, create a mask of it, and lay another image on top while maintaining visibility of both's content. As you can see this results in a rather artistic, professional and stylised look, with a lot of range for variability. I have included a couple of images below of the photoshopping process:

I enjoyed getting a chance to flex my skills with Photoshop during this process and no doubt will continue to expand my skill set by taking advantage of opportunities such as these. There were two other designs submitted to the producers, created by Katie Prentis and Andrew Ayres respectively. I look forward to seeing where we can go with the posters aspect of the promotion material.
