Transition Unit - How Much Does Facebook Know About You? - Presenter Auditioning
Finding Our Talent
For this particular unit we wanted to cast a presenter to maintain a constant presence throughout the mini-documentary, but also didn't want to use someone like Andy Phipps as we have done in the past. Therefore Alex has been reaching out to a large number of people on Mandy Actors/Actresses and arranging Skype auditions/interviews in order to see who would be best appropriate for the role.
Today we interviewed Duncan Hendry (pictured right), a London-based actor who has experience in theatre as well as working with kids, which we believe to speak to his charisma on camera. In order to ensure professionalism and efficiency on our part (during the interview process) we compiled a list of questions beforehand. These included important informations such as availability, awareness of this being an un-paid student project, as well as of course personal knowledge and experience on the topic of data privacy and protection. Overall I think the interview with Duncan went pretty well and I'm interested to see whether or not he'll be the person we end up going with in the end. We still have several interviews down for Friday afternoon, therefore are planning to make a decision over the weekend and get shooting around the 30th April - 4th May.
