Isolation 2 Minute Trailer Editing | The Importance of Music

For Isolation I always wanted to make sure I had a great accompanying track to set the tone of the short film, something slow and delicate. I searched the internet for royalty free music and couldn't find anything of note, or at-least nothing that appealed to my vision of what Isolation could be with the right track.

Sound is everything when it comes to visual media, I learnt this from my A-Level short I did last year, as a psychological horror it had an incredible reliance on audio, and lost all charm without it. Knowing this I wanted to make sure I chose a good piece of music for the trailer.

I came across a track by an independant artist on YouTube by the name of 'Myuu'. He specialises in atmospheric and sometimes creepy ambient music and has given anyone permission to use his music (pictured above) providing I credit him in the description of the video.

The track can be heard below and (as of) on December 2nd, in the final trailer.
