TV News Unit | Expanding Upon Electric Car Idea

Initial Meeting With Joe

We as a group decided that we were going to spend today expanding upon the idea of electric cars and what we could do as part of our production package and as live piece.

Discussing the idea with Joe, we settled on a core mantra for the package; 'Are electric cars a viable replacement for standard petrol vehicles?'. The solution to pollution so to speak.

We figured it worthwhile to list all nearby car dealerships for each manufacturer that produces electric cars (pictured below), this way we have a go to list to provide any contact details and information for local dealerships should we wish to contact them.

We are also keen to gain access to an electric car to use within production, even better if we have the opportunity to drive it ourselves. Alex has already confirmed that he would be willing to take part in a test drive if we are able to secure such an opportunity. This would allow us to provide a more in depth perspective of what it's actually like to drive an electric car, in comparison to a standard petrol/unlimited vehicle.

Our goal we set for the end of the day was to have a game-plan for each of us to follow going into the weekend as well as us all knowing our designated roles going into the project. As of now I will be heading the camera department, while George takes main control over the edit and Alex liaisons with potential contacts for the electric car project, we would ideally speak to an engineer who has worked or at least has a knowledge of the manufacturing process of electric-powered vehicles in order to get an industry professional's take on things.
