TV News Unit | Shoot Week - In-Studio Green-Screen Material
Working "In" The Studio
The objective today was to set up and shoot our green-screen material in order to be used for our in-studio dialogue/PTC's. Initially we had confirmed with Laura that we'd booked usage of Lecture Room 1 between 11:00 - 15:00 however upon arrival at The Maidstone Studios we quickly discovered that Helen was in fact lecturing in the same room for 3 hours.
Fortunately the other lecture room was free for the entire day thanks to the 1st years being at Rochester Campus for a technical workshop with Ferg. It took a short while to get setup with the Tungsten lights and green-screen assembly, however once we were up and running I felt that it went smoothly.
We discussed backwards and forwards about who should be the presenter here, me or Andrew. In the end we simply opted to shoot each of us doing the entire script, therefore giving us maximum flexibility in the edit next week.
Now that we've officially wrapped production for this piece I'm eagerly anticipating diving into the editing process and seeing what we can come up with, this has been a thoroughly enjoyable, not to mention productive week!
